Location. The Casablanca Resort and Spa in Mesquite, Nev., is 90 miles northeast of Las Vegas in picturesque surroundings and small-town ambience. The Lost City Museum of Archaeology, St. George Opera House and Lake Mead National Recreation Area are within 40 miles of this property.
Hotel Features. The Casablanca Resort and Spa features a 24-hour casino with 700 poker and slot machines, and a variety of table games. The upscale spa offers a full menu of options including shiatsu massage, Watsu mudbaths, soaking mineral baths, aromatherapy and terra stone therapies. An on-site salon features beauty treatments. Golf enthusiasts can play the 18-hole, Cal Olson- designed championship course, which includes professional instruction, a driving range, equipment rentals, a pro shop and the Casa Deli restaurant. The resort's tree-lined lagoon pool features a waterfall and water slide. Sand volleyball and tennis courts are also available. The resort offers dining options that range from Starbucks to the Live Action Buffet. Fine dining at Katherine's features Angus beef, lobster and Italian fare. Entertainment includes nightly music and dancing in the Skydome Lounge.
Guestrooms. Renovated in 2005, the nine- story Casablanca Resort and Spa features 500 guestrooms. Beige, rose and off-white tones blend naturally with driftwood-finished furnishings, and comfortable sitting areas provide small tables and chairs. Dial-up Internet access is available for a fee.
Expert Tip. Guests at the resort can take advantage of Play It Again cards. Players can earn points used for anything sold at the Casablanca Resort and Spa, as well as two other Mesquite casino hotels, the Oasis and Virgin River.
